Beach/lunch/surf/ relax

This lovely day trip is to quiet and beautiful Playa Esterillos, and it’s just pure relaxation.

One of our favorite lazy beach day trips to is drive further past Jaco down and onto Playo Esterillos. You can call ahead to make lunch reservations at Encantada Cottages or Alma Del Pacifico and you will be able to park in their lot for the day and use their facilities, beach chairs and have lunch. Alma offers the option to book spa treatments as well and we’ve seen surf lessons at El Cantada. It’s lovely easy day at the beach with plenty of relaxation. If you’re lucky, you just might get to see some of the beautiful Scarlet Macaws visiting the trees along the beach.
